ARE VARIABLES WORTH THE HUSTLE? EXPLORING THE IMPACT OF USING FIGMA'S VARIABLES AND CONDITIONALS IN PROTOTYPES

Summary from the TLDR Design newsletter

Figma's variables and conditionals bring a new dimension to prototyping, making it more dynamic and complex. They allow for more interactive and realistic user experiences, moving beyond linear prototypes. Although the process involves a learning curve and can be tedious, the ability to create developer-like prototypes is valuable as it provides a deeper understanding of how design decisions translate into development.
