COMPETITION IN AI VIDEO GENERATION HEATS UP AS DEEPMIND ALUMS UNVEIL HAIPER

Two DeepMind alumni, Yishu Miao and Ziyu Wang, have released a video-generation tool called Haiper. Apart from generating video from text prompts, Haiper lets users animate images and repaint videos. The tool will soon offer video extensions. Haiper has raised $13.8 million in a seed round led by Octopus Ventures, with participation from 5Y Capital.
