A TECH CONFERENCE LISTED FAKE SPEAKERS FOR YEARS: I ACCIDENTALLY NOTICED

Summary from the TLDR Web Dev newsletter

A tech conference called DevTernity had women speakers on their website who did not exist in real life. For 3 years straight, the DevTernity conference listed non-existent software engineers representing Coinbase and Meta as featured speakers. This addition of fake women speakers happened after the conference organizers were called out a few years ago for having an all-male panel.
