FASTLY ANNOUNCES PLAN TO STOP DOMAIN FRONTING

github.com2 min read

Summary from the TLDR InfoSec newsletter

Domain fronting is a technique for bypassing internet censorship by placing a different/forbidden host in an HTTP Host header rather than in the TLS SNI and DNS query. This technique is also commonly used by malware groups to bypass firewalls. Fastly now joins other CDNs like AWS, Cloudflare, and Microsoft in blocking domain fronting.
