meduza.io18 min read

Summary from the TLDR InfoSec newsletter

Meduza co-founder Galina Timchenko's phone was infected with Pegasus spyware, making her the first Russian journalist to be targeted. The software is marketed exclusively to state clients for use against criminals, but has been used to target journalists, activists, and politicians around the world. Meduza worked with experts to investigate the attack and learn which states may have spent millions of dollars to hijack Timchenko's phone.
